Sustainable development

The environment that surrounds us is one of the most important factors determining the quality of life. Therefore, the protection and conservation of nature is an important task. In the last decades, most of the energy was produced using fossil fuel. As the energy consumption keeps growing, the use of alternative energy it is estimated to be more widespread.

One of the activities that UAB „ENG group“ gives priority to, is implementation of energy projects facilitating the reduction of environmental pollution. That is why part of the companies in the group, which are engaged in energy production, are using biofuel for heat production, i.e. a renewable and ecological type of fuel, which is a perfect alternative for the fossil fuel which pollutes the environment and depletes natural resources. Use of biofuel also offers a way to solve the climate change problems, and reduce the dependence of the country‘s energy sector on the suppliers of fossil fuel.

Investment projects implemented by the companies in the group meet the priorities of sustainable development of Lithuania indicated in the National Sustainable Development Strategy (Publication „State News“, 2003 No. 89-4029): reduction of environmental impact by the main branches of economy, reduction of danger on human health, and the mitigation of climate change and its consequences.
